Joe Friedt
Born in Alberta, Joe moved to British Columbia in 1981 and graduated in Economics from the University of British Columbia in 1994. Joe entered straight into the financial industry and created Friedt Financial in 1997. Joe provides personalized financial planning and investment management for select successful individuals and companies, working closely with them to help accomplish their long-term financial goals. Joe enjoys working with those who have integrity, are ambitious and have a desire to turn their dreams and goals into reality. Joe has built a thriving financial services practice using a refined process that focuses on his clients’ needs and his goal is to be regarded as the financial planner of choice to work with in Canada.
Over the years, Joe has appeared as a guest many times on the Global TV British Columbia morning news program providing economic and stock market commentaries. He has also been a guest commentator on a number of other television and radio news programs throughout British Columbia. Joe is a strong member of the community and gives back by actively participating in fundraising for two annual events that benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation of British Columbia and Yukon and Salvation Army Harbour Light.
Joe has a huge passion for music and singing and won the BC Talent Search in 2008. Although Joe preferred to focus on growing his financial practice it did not stop him from co-hosting a number of significant music festivals and events in British Columbia, with the highlight performing one year for about 15,000 people. When not working, singing or travelling somewhere warm, you can usually find Joe looking on the golf course looking in the bushes for his tee shots as he really is not a very good golfer.
